Creative Blogs to Inspire You
As a creative business owner, I've read my fair share of blog posts. From branding to font favourites to time management tips, my brain has processed hundreds of articles from other business owners. I just love reading other creative blogs. Since the creative industry is one that is in a state on constant change, it's important to absorb as much content as you can. Creatives are ALWAYS learning. I scour Pinterest like everyone else, in search of any blog post that remotely related to what I'm interested in. That being said, there are very few blogs I return to on a regular basis.
Today, I'm sharing 3 blogs that I LOVE to visit!
1 | Emily Ley
Emily Ley is the creator or the Simplified Planner. Although I use the Day Designer created by Whitney English, I love Emily's style and the type of posts she makes. She mixes DIY with lifestyle & creative business. Her products & blog posts also match her simple, functional, feminine style.
2 | Whitney English
As I said before, Whitney English is the creator of the Day Designer. In case you don't know, the Day Designer is a daily planner that is MADE for female entrepreneurs. It allows you to schedule your day, add a to-do list, top priorities, money notes, dinner plan, notes & daily gratitude all in one page! It truly is an amazing product.
The Whitney English blog is one I love to visit regularly because she shares the most uplifting content. Her blog posts are beautifully written pieces of motivation. With blog posts such as "You're not for Everyone (And that's okay!)" and "How to find the perfect morning routine (for you)," it's truly a fantastic blog to read when you need a little pick-me-up.
She also posts business-related content ("How to Hire your first employees") and personal content. ("Products I've been loving this Month") It's a great combination and a great read! She also offer free printables to keep you & your Day Designer organized.
3 | Elleandcompany
Lauren from Elle & Company has been one of the most helpful resources I've used since opening Aceti Design Co. She guides you through personal experience. She gives insight into time management, Squarespace maintenance, visual marketing, branding and tips for just about every other aspect of design & creative business. Check out her blog archive here.
Lauren also offers free webinars, called "Ellechat." In these Ellechats, Lauren focuses on a topic and gives an insanely helpful presentation. She also leaves time for a Q&A at the end!
